Dominic Armstrong has been celebrated for his musicality and characterization on stages both nationally and internationally. Mr. Armstrong has made important debuts with companies including Opera Philadelphia, Chicago Opera Theatre, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opera Regio Torino, Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, LA Opera, Syracuse Opera, Memphis Opera, Dayton Opera, Opera Colorado, the Ojai Festival, Wolf Trap Opera, Chautauqua Opera, and Opera Omaha.

Other highlights include operas, concerts, and recitals with companies Wexford Opera, Musica Viva Opera (Hong Kong), New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Symphony, Boston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Russian National Orchestra, National Orchestra (US), the Kaoshiung (Taiwan) Symphony Orchestra, amongst others.

In 2022, Mr. Armstrong has appeared in operas with Dayton Opera (Kaminsky world premiere; Finding Wright), Opera Carolina (Redler; The Falling and the Rising), and Utah Opera (Der Fliegender Holländer); recitals with University of South Carolina, Mirror Visions Ensemble, and Chautauqua Opera Conservatory; and a soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, Vox Anima London (world premiere; Todd Requiem Gravare), and the University of Missouri Choral Union, as well as the curation and performance of Janacek’s The Diary of One Who Vanished in conjunction with faculty and students from The University of South Carolina and Binghamton University with The Castleton Festival.

While earning degrees from Truman State University, The Juilliard School, and The Curtis Institute, Mr. Armstrong studied with Dr. Tom Hueber and Marlena Kleinman Malas. He holds prizes from The Sullivan Foundation, The George London Award, The Liederkranz Art Song Competition, The Opera Index Awards, The Gerda Lissner Prize, The Opera Foundation, and was a Metropolitan Opera National Council Grand Finalist. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice at The University of South Carolina and is on faculty of the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory in Chautauqua, NY.
