I believe that students learn best by doing. Thus, in all the courses I teach I like to include active learning exercises such as case studies and group work. I attempt to utilize various delivery mechanisms such as additional online content for my face-to-face classrooms, lightboard videos (not just for online courses, but also for traditional face-to-face classrooms), and voice-over interactive PowerPoint presentations. Learning should be fun and a diverse experience that challenges students to think outside the box. Critical thinking and application of knowledge to new situations is key to success in my courses.
