The Mosaic Experience
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting "The Mosaic Experience,” an overnight visitation event for students and families of diverse backgrounds, on Friday, April 5, 2024, in conjunction with Admitted Students Day on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Such diversities include race, abilities/disabilities, religion, gender, language, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, geographic region and more.
We believe that diversity is the cornerstone of a dynamic and enriching educational experience, and we are excited to share our vision with you!
The Mosaic Experience

Time: 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
Location: Salisbury University
Fee: $40 (assistance available)
Here's a glimpse of what you can expect during your visit:
- Academic Showcases: Explore the collegiate environment by participating in mock class sessions. Learn how you can tailor your education to suit your unique interests and goals.
- Interactive Activities: Participate in hands-on activities with current students and explore local opportunities for socializing.
- Student Engagement Panel: Engage in meaningful discussions with current students and staff who champion diversity and inclusion on campus.
- Engaging Socials: Individual socials for prospective students and parents/guests, to mingle with Salisbury University staff and faculty.
Mosaic Experience Requirements
- You must have applied and been admitted to Salisbury University.
- You must be a new, first-time student to Salisbury University for the Fall 2024 semester.
- You must also participate in the Admitted Students Day event on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
- You must complete the participant interest form (link below) to move forward in the registration and selection process.
Additional Notes
- The fee includes meals, activities and student lodging (lodging is available exclusively for students residing beyond a 50-mile radius). Students will share a room with one other prospective student, but are welcome to opt out of the overnight portion, if they would prefer to stay separately with their family/guests.
