Annual Justice and Equity Forum LogoThe forum will explore topics of power, justice, and equity through discussions on research, community & campus initiatives, and teaching & learning approaches. Attend as a general participant or submit a proposal to be a presenter for a 30 minute round table discussion. Immerse yourself in thought-provoking insights from opening statements, select your preferred round table discussions to participate in enlightening discussions, and cap off the evening at the networking reception with hors d'oeuvres.

Program:

The forum offers participants the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, and learn about
research, teaching, community engagement, and campus initiatives.

Admission:

  • Registration is FREE!
  • Tickets are limited
  • Individually choose which round table discussions to participate in
  • Attend a networking session

Become a Round Table Presenter:

Interested in showcasing your expertise in research, teaching, community engagement, or campus
initiatives centered on topics such as but not limited to issues of power, justice, equity, race,
women's rights, LQBTQ+ rights, immigration, political climates, or acceptance in our work and
our world? First register for the forum, then submit an abstract of your proposal in 250 words or less
in the link provided above. Previous forum presenters have spoken about:

  • Discussion on their book pertaining to lived experience
  • Psychology Teaching and Learning Approach
  • Equitable Access to Sciences
  • How Women's Soccer May Pioneer a Path to Pay Equity
  • Course topics regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity
  • Recruitment strategies to target and retain highly qualified minority teachers into our public schools
  • Campaign for Grade Level Reading
  • Wicomico County status for re-arrest/recidivism
  • Mindfulness of diversity in energy usage for public and environmental health
