This short overview of Writing Center services is meant to introduce your students to a writing consultant and provide information about UWC resources. Synchronous Zoom calls, Panopto video links, and in-person class visit options are available for this service.

The UWC offers workshops on a variety of topics and include lecture and hands-on activity components. Choose from our extensive catalog of existing workshops or work with the UWC to tailor a brand-new workshop that will meet your specific class or student group’s needs.

UWC Syllabus Statement

At the University Writing Center (UWC), trained peer consultants are available to work with students at any stage of the writing process. Located on the second floor of the Guerrieri Academic Commons, the UWC offers a place where writers can meet to talk about their papers and projects. In addition to the important writing instruction that occurs in the classroom and during office hours, students are also encouraged to make use of this service.
