Humanities Academy
The Humanities Academy prepares high school students for college-level work in the humanities. Learners exercise academic skills such as critical thinking and writing, textual interpretation, and discussion within a community of inquiry.
World Languages and Cultures

Through an immersion in the French and Spanish languages, this academy will encourage the students to develop an interest in languages and a curiosity for diverse cultures and people. Each day, they will explore a new theme (food, holidays, fashion, famous people, and monuments). The students will also engage in hands-on activities such as games, calligraphy, cooking, arts and crafts, and movies.

Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens
- High School – Grades 9th to 12th

Yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety, increase strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Regular yoga practice can build self-esteem and self-respect. This 5-day course will include yoga practice, breathing techniques, mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation. The students will also do art and journaling activities. This course will be taught by two local certified yoga instructors and yoga therapists.
- Students must provide their own yoga mat or large beach towel.
