Summer English Program 2022
Salisbury University welcomes students from around the world to take part in the ELI Summer English Program.
These three- and four-week learning experiences are designed to provide students with an introduction and exposure to American culture and offer opportunities for language enrichment. The program integrates linguistic, cultural and academic experiences through in-class instruction and via many first-hand experiences in various settings, both academic and social, to experience local culture and American life. Students will visit popular East Coast cities and resorts such as Ocean City and Washington, D.C., and have the possibility to go to New York City on their own. After successfully completing all required courses and activities, the participants will receive a certificate from Salisbury University and may have potential to earn course credit from their home institution.
Morning Language Lessons
Morning classroom sessions focus on language learning through skill-centered and theme-based lessons. Students will apply their English skills in speaking, reading and writing as they explore various American subjects.
Afternoon Program Components
Students practice the language introduced in the classes in real-life settings through interactions and social activities with other students and families.
