Civic Engagement Resources
The Compendium of Civic Engagement Resources supports the PACE mission by providing a comprehensive collection of literature, conferences, organizations, and research support which directly relate to the promotion of civil discourse and active informed participation in a democracy. Special attention is given to those resources which support the integration of these ideas into the curriculum and faculty are aided in the development and redesign of their courses so to best deliver an engaged, civic-minded education.
The Compendium is divided into six sections: academic journals, books, community partners, conferences, funding sources, and organizations/initiatives. While this resource does attempt to capture all available resources, it is by no means an exhaustive list. However, it does provide a solid starting point for research on civic engagement issues and it can connect you with a large number of readily available resources at the university.
