Overview
Successful leaders often exhibit excellence in time management, interpersonal communication, organization, planning, networking, and resourcefulness. The Student Business Leaders (SBLs) at the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business are selected for their demonstration of these key competencies and their commitment to continued development throughout their service.
The responsibilities of our Student Business Leaders are diverse and impactful. They play a crucial role in supporting the transition of first-year students by assisting with Freshman Orientation and offering ongoing guidance on academic and student life matters. They also help students acclimate to Salisbury University and the Perdue School of Business.
2026-2027 Student Business LeadersSBLs actively participate in Admitted Student Days and University Open Houses, serving as ambassadors of the school. They engage with prospective students, provide informative answers, and offer firsthand insights into the academic and co-curricular experiences at the Perdue School.
To support current students, SBLs host workshops on program requirements, four-year academic planning, and university resources. They serve as peer mentors, maintaining regular communication throughout the semester and referring students to appropriate campus support services as needed.
Student Business Leaders represent the Perdue School at job fairs, local high school career fairs, employer information sessions, and community leadership events, strengthening the school’s ties with the business community.
The SBLs exemplify the values and excellence of the Perdue School of Business and take pride in sharing their knowledge, experiences, and accomplishments. For inquiries or to connect with an SBL, please contact PerdueSBL@salisbury.edu.
