Childcare Smart Start Course at SU November 3

SALISBURY, MD---The demand for quality childcare providers is at an all-time high. The U.S. Census revealed that starting in 1995, 14.6 million mothers worked outside the home. Today, 51 percent of all new mothers return to work before their child’s first birthday.

As more families become dependent on two incomes to survive, the childcare industry skyrockets. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Salisbury University helps those planning to enter the childcare industry by offering a Childcare Center Smart Start course 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 3.

Topics covered include the importance of a business plan and how to write one, and guidelines for answering the question, “Can I making a living as a daycare provider?” Cost is $10 and includes all materials.
