The Public Relations Office is the official source of information on behalf of Salisbury University. We promote University news and events, as well as the initiatives, innovations, research, activities and accomplishments of students, faculty, staff and alumni to audiences across the state and around the world.
What We Do
The PR Office is responsible for informing external audiences, through the media in most instances, about the University. This includes announcements about campus news and events, as well as responses to media inquiries. Have a question about promoting your news or event, or working with the media? We adhere to certain media and publicity policy.
For The Media
All media inquiries should be routed through the PR Office. We respond to inquiries on behalf of the University, and can connect you with faculty and staff experts on a wide range of topics. Members of the media should call 410-543-6030 or email PR staff for assistance.
Share Your News
Are you an SU faculty or staff member, or student with a story to share? The PR Office staff wants to hear from you! Tell us about your successes, from grants and fellowships, to awards and honors. Great story ideas include, but are not limited to, significant research findings, outstanding students, innovations in the classroom, lab and community, key University initiatives and milestones, and more.
For story ideas involving the College of Health and Human Services, Henson School of Science and Technology, Perdue School of Business or Clarke Honors College, contact Megan Baker, assistant PR director.
For story ideas involving the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Seidel School of Education or SU Libraries, contact Tim Brennan, assistant PR director.
For story ideas involving alumni accomplishments in careers, work or the greater community, please complete an Alumni Spotlight form. (Note: This information is directed to the Alumni Relations and Annual Giving Office, and is not vetted by the SU Public Relations Office.)
For all other story ideas contact Jason Rhodes, PR director and University spokesperson.
Please note: While PR is excited to hear your suggestions, not every story idea is suitable for the needs of the Public Relations Office. If a suggestion may be better suited for another office on campus, we will share it with that office for consideration.
