SU's Fulton School Hosts Youth Arts Open House

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts shares many of its youth arts education programs during “Music Stroll on a Winter’s Night,” an open house showcasing opportunities with these programs 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, February 23, in the Fulton Hall Lobby.

Attendees learn about SU’s PRESTO performing arts lessons, and Summer Enrichment Academies, the Salisbury Youth Orchestra and the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC), meeting instructors and watching live student demonstrations. Light refreshments will be served.

SWAC has been an SU partner in arts projects and various art, music, dance, theater and cultural affairs events, for over 50 years. At the event, SWAC staff will inform attendees about arts funding, promotion, membership, arts advocacy, programs and opportunities available for arts support in various arts disciplines.

Raffle prizes provided by SU and SWAC include an electric guitar and amplifier with assorted accessories and two art creations - "Maine Coast III" and "Royal Blue" - by internationally renowned artist Dr. Phyllis Jaffe.

Admission is free and the public is invited. Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
