Important COVID-19 Information for SU Employees

Dear SU Faculty and Staff,

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms, even if you are vaccinated, you should remain off campus and contact Campus Health to schedule a symptomatic test.
    • Please do not arrive at the testing area without an appointment.
    • Symptomatic testing entrance is the external front door to the Holloway Hall Social Room. Please ring the bell upon arrival.
    • COVID-19 symptoms may include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.

  • If you have not already done so, please schedule your return-to-campus COVID-19 test.
    • All employees are required to take an SU-administered return test on their first day back on campus.
    • Beginning next week, those without a return test on file will not be able to access SU academic or residential buildings.
    • Also beginning next week, an active Gull Card will be needed to access to the Patricia A. Guerrieri Academic Commons, Guerrieri Student Union, Maggs Physical Activities Center and the rear doors of Holloway Hall for the remainder of winter term.

  • Employees with SU-issued exemptions to the University System of Maryland COVID-19 vaccination policy must continue to test each Tuesday and Thursday during winter term and the spring semester to maintain access to campus.
    • Those who have not yet signed up for testing should do so immediately at https://sutesting.timetap.com.
    • Asymptomatic testing also is offered, by appointment, for any employee who would like to test for any reason.

  • Beginning this week, students, faculty, staff and visitors are required to wear KN95 face masks in all SU classrooms and instructional settings. KN95s are strongly encouraged at all times.

A similar message has been sent to SU students. Please review Tuesday’s COVID-19 communication for additional information.

Please continue monitoring your SU email account and the SU COVID-19 webpage for the most up-to-date information regarding campus operations. Thank you for all you continue to do to help #ProtectTheFlock.
