Protecting the flock starts with following these important guidelines.

  • Wear Masks: Required indoors and outdoors around others.
  • Wash Hands: Soap and water for at least 20 seconds does the trick.
  • Use Sanitizer: Keep a bottle filled. Avoid touching your eyes or face.
  • Physically Distance: Keep six feet between you and others whenever possible.
  • Clean and Disinfect: Wipe down personal items. SU is disinfecting high-touch spaces.
  • Stay Home: Self-screen for symptoms and isolate alone if unwell.

Safety Toolkit

Help take care of YOU with this starter package of essentials! Protect The Flock safety toolkits were created to help all students, faculty and staff throughout the fall. Resident students should have received theirs during move-in. Kits for those living in off-campus student housing have been distributed by the individual complexes. Commuter students may pick up their kits from the Guerrieri Student Union. Faculty and staff kits have been distributed at the department and division levels.

Here is what is inside:

  • Hand Sanitizer – Look for refill stations throughout campus
  • B-Safe Key – Avoid touching public screens, buttons and doors
  • Face Mask – Must be worn indoors in shared spaces and outdoors when not distanced
  • Thermometer – Everyone has to report their temperature as part of daily screenings
  • Lanyard – Campus members must display their GullCard through a lanyard while in public spaces

New Signs on Campus

Signage is in place to help you navigate campus safely. Here's a sample of what you’ll see around SU. SU provides free downloadable, printable COVID-19 safety signage regarding hand washing, social distancing, unavailable facilities and more for use by the campus and greater communities. Please select a category below for available downloads. If you don't find a sign below to meet your needs or need help printing, please submit a Publications Office work request and their staff will create one for you (design fees are waived for general campus COVID signage).
