SU’s PRESTO Holds Student Recitals December 10

child playing violinSALISBURY, MD---Students taking lessons through Salisbury University’s PRESTO performing arts outreach program will share their talents during recitals 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

The students range in age from 6 years old to adult. They perform piano, violin, viola, cello, theatre, guitar and voice works. Selections will include Felix Borowski’s “Adoration”, Viotti’s “Concerto No. 23” and Oskar Rieding’s “Concertino in Hungarian Style.”

PRESTO instructors include faculty members Drs. Linda Cockey, Danielle Cumming, Sachi Murasugi and Nan Richerson; professional teachers Maggie Jones, Martha Mancuso, Dr. Matt Michaud, Martha Pfeiffer, Bobbie Thamert and Mary-Tyler Upshaw; and SU student teachers include Anna Avrick, Katie Bobele, Geneque Garrison, Patrick Gover, Hunter Lupro, Christopher Sajadi and Dylan Williams.

PRESTO recitals offer a unique performance by musicians with varied levels of ability as well as the chance to learn more about the PRESTO program from present students and teachers.

A reception follows each recital.

Sponsored by SU’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning, admission is free and the public is invited.
