SU Libraries MakerLab

The SU Libraries MakerLab is a place where visitors interested in a wide variety of technologies can come together to create, build, learn, and just have fun.

The SU Libraries MakerLab offers 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, button making, lamination, and more. You can use the equipment available in the MakerLab to build prototypes for personal or school projects, print replacement parts for all kinds of hardware, or just experiment with these new technologies — all while learning from a community of makers interested in technology and design.

Everyone is welcome, from SU students, faculty, and staff to members of the wider community. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary. Appointments are not required during the Fall and Spring semesters, and friendly MakerLab staff are available to help you with your project and guide you through the process.

In addition to our maker services, we also check out iPads to SU students, faculty, and staff. You can read more about our iPad checkouts here.

MakerLab Hours

During the Fall and Spring semesters, the MakerLab is typically open Monday through Friday. During Summer and Winter terms, MakerLab services are available by appointment.
