Eileen Gilheany

Bio

Ms. Eileen P. Gilheany has been teaching fulltime in the School of Social Work since 2008. Prior to that Eileen was the Program Director for the non-profit Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Services, the Executive Director of the Richmond Virginia, Ronald McDonald House, a home away from home for families whose children were being treated for cancer and other serious illness. She has also worked as the Public Education Coordinator for the YWCA’s Women’s Advocacy Program, a crisis center for raped and battered woman. Her teaching and service is informed by what she has learned from the individuals, students and families she has worked with.
