Assessment Support at SU

Whether you are interested in assessment for research; improving your course, program, or unit; or simply to answer a question - there are many groups on campus to whom you can contact for support! See below for more information about each group, including links to their homepages.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

Salisbury University’s IRB provides guidance to faculty, staff, and students conducting research with human participants.

Instructional Design & Delivery (ID&D)

Salisbury University’s Office of ID&D supports the instructional design and delivery needs of faculty engaged in teaching and learning of online, hybrid, and traditional courses. Professional development and support is provided for effective pedagogical practices and instructional software, including those related to assessment.

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Faculty Learning Community (SoTL FLC)

The SoTL FLC is a bit of a misnomer since its membership includes faculty, staff, and graduate students. This group helps to provide professional development as well as build a community of practice to share and learn more about best practices in evidence-based techniques, innovations, and processes to continuously improve student outcomes at Salisbury University.

Student Affairs Strategic Planning and Assessment (SPA) Committee

The SPA Committee assists with creating a culture of assessment and evidence across the division of Student Affairs. Membership includes administration leaders in the division of Student Affairs, representatives from across the division, and students from both the graduate and undergraduate student governments.

University Academic Assessment Committee (UAAC)

The UAAC is a Faculty Senate standing committee which serves as both an advisory and an assessment coordination body on all matters related to academic assessment.

University Analysis, Reporting & Assessment (UARA)

Salisbury University’s Office of UARA provides institutional effectiveness and assessment expertise across institutional accountability areas, including: academic program review; accreditation; institutional research and reporting; program and unit evaluation; strategic planning; and student learning outcomes assessment. In particular, the Assessment Coordinator (Dr. Sarah Winger) supports assessment-related requests across Salisbury University.
