Welcome to Instructional Design & Delivery

The Office of Instructional Design & Delivery supports the instructional design and delivery needs of faculty engaged in teaching and learning of online, hybrid, and traditional courses. To this end, professional development and support is provided for effective pedagogical practices and instructional software.

Office Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Additional Virtual Hours: Monday - Thursday: 4:30 - 6 p.m.

Faculty are invited to call ID&D main office at 410-677-6585, visit in-person at AC220, or schedule an in-person or virtual appointment for consultation/assistance. If you would like to meet outside of our standard office hours, please contact your Instructional Designer liaison.

Digital Accessibility Spring Cleaning Event - January 8-9, 2026

Salisbury University, University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and Wor-Wic Community College are teaming up to help faculty and staff with digital accessibility by hosting virtual sessions, along with the University System of Maryland on January 8-9, 2026. Before the spring semester begins, spend some time assessing and remediating your course materials and workplace documents. Whether you're a faculty member preparing courses or a staff member managing shared resources, Spring Cleaning offers the perfect opportunity to ensure your digital content is accessible to everyone. Google AI Essentials and Prompting Essentials Free Courses

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a workforce skillset and SU has the opportunity to provide students with co-curricular professional development in ethical and practical uses of AI. Interested? Review the descriptions of the Google AI Essentials and Google Prompting Essentials courses. In under 10 hours, each course will not only teach participants about AI — they’ll show participants how to actually use it in the real world. Students interested in this opportunity should complete the interest form. Then on Friday afternoon, individuals will be notified via email to join Salisbury University's organization within the Coursera platform.

Faculty and staff can also participate in these courses by completing the Faculty/Staff interest form.

Closed Captioning and Transcript Services

Captured an in-class session with Panopto? Recorded an online lecture? Using instructional videos as the heart of your content? If you answered Yes - then the next question is Do they have closed captions or transcripts?

If your instructional video does not have closed captions, then help your students by requesting captions or transcripts to ensure your instructional videos become ADA compliant. Closed captioning is not only for those requiring accommodations but are also useful for all students, including English Language Learners and those you might be viewing videos without the audio (such as in the library).
