SU Police to Participate in 2004 Law Enforcement Torch Run

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Police will carry the “Flame of Hope” across Maryland’s Eastern Shore to the Special Olympics Summer Games as a proud member of the Torch Run Club for 2004 thanks to contributions from the SU community in 2003. The SU Police are campaigning to collect more donations for Special Olympics Maryland. Any contribution is appreciated. For a $15 contribution, donors receive a t-shirt or hat. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Maryland and are tax deductible. The Law Enforcement Torch Run begins 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at 27th Street and the Boardwalk in Ocean City, MD. The run continues to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, then to Vienna, MD. The Eastern Leg ends Friday, June 4, at University of Maryland College Park where the individual flames converge and open the games.
