SU Hosts Fourth Research Day and Innovation Showcase September 23

Research Day logoSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts its fourth Research Day and Innovation Showcase on Friday, September 23, in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall. 

Presentations spotlighting faculty work are 3-5 p.m. A reception follows from 5:30-7 p.m. 

Each of SU’s four schools are represented by a faculty member, who will deliver a 30-minute “TED talk”-style lecture:
  • Dr. Elsie Walker of the English Department discusses “Soundtracks and Humanity – The Beauty, Violence and Politics of Hearing Films” at 3 p.m.
  • Dr. Katherine Hinderer of the Nursing Department discusses “Bridging the Gap: Inter-professional Partnerships to Support Practice-ready Healthcare Graduates” at 3:30 p.m.
  • Bill Burke of the Information and Decisions Sciences Department discusses “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development” at 4 p.m.
  • Dr. Timothy Werner of the Health and Sports Sciences Department discusses “Arterial Stiffness: Its Influence on Cardiovascular Disease and Therapeutic Interventions” at 4:30 p.m.
