Registration Opens for New SU Summer Camp for Kids

SALISBURY, MD---Looking for summer activities for the kids?  Want to spend time at the beach?  Salisbury University has a solution:  SU at the Seashore.

A new camp for children ages 6-12, SU at the Seashore offers three, three-day sessions in Fenwick Island, DEperfect for local residents and vacationers.  All camps are 9 a.m.–noon at 1400 Coastal Highway, next to Warren’s Station Family Restaurant.

The first session is Gull Games, July 8-10.  Campers will take part in stretching demos, discussions about sportsmanship and drills for beach games such as whiffle ball, soccer, Frisbee and, of course, Putt-Putt golf.

During Healthy Bites, July 22-24, campers will create recipes that are nutritious and delicious.  Making healthy food choices and kicking bad sugar habits are also discussed using Nemours “5-2-1 Almost None” Program.

The final session, Make A Memory, is August 5-7.  It encourages campers to use their creativity to create a scrapbook full of summer memories from the beach and home.

All sessions are taught by SU instructors and will promote an appreciation for knowledge, creativity and teamwork.  Admission is $100 per session or $35 per day.  Snacks, drinks, a tee shirt and all materials are included.  Enrollment is limited to 20 campers.  For more information or to register call Amy Waters at 410-677-5416.
