Michael Waters Edits Poetry Anthology" 

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Michael Waters, professor of English at Salisbury State University, has edited the seventh edition of Contemporary American Poetry, published by Houghton Mifflin. The anthology contains more than 500 poems, 350 new to this edition, by 66 poets. Waters updated and revised each poet's selection, often wholly, and added substantial work by 15 new poets. He also updated and revised the "Notes on the Poets" included in the text, prepared notes for the new poets, updated the critical bibliography, and wrote a new preface. The anthology, almost 700 pages, is widely used as a college text.
