Spring MASMI Advertising Challenge Winners Announced

SALISBURY, MD---Making winning ad pitches for multinational companies like Perdue Farms takes practice. Just ask the 86 student competitors at this year’s Advertising Challenge, hosted by Salisbury University’s Mid-Atlantic Sales and Marketing Institute (MASMI).
The event included four contests: print and video advertising, audience choice print, and elevator pitches.
Savannah Adams of Stevensville, MD, received $1,000 for her first-place finish in the print ad competition. Runners-up included Tabitha Petersen of Perryville, MD, in second place ($500), and Camille Jones of Middletown, MD, in third ($300).
Hailey Hall of Milford, DE, topped competitors in the elevator pitch session, taking home a $500 prize. Followed by Viktoria Dorn of Severna Park, MD, in second ($300). and Brady Reise of Bel Air, MD, in third ($200).
Pam Hubbard of Seaford, DE, earned the $1,000 video advertising first-place prize. Kierstyn Dietrich of Berlin, MD, followed in second ($500), and Kamryn Payne of Delmar, DE, in third ($300).
Emily Baker of Mount Airy, MD, earned $100 for the print ad audience choice award.
This year’s product sponsor was Perdue Farms. Finalists were tasked with creating a print and video ad about the featured product, Sea Creature Chicken Nuggets, and pitching the same to Perdue Farms CEO Kevin McAdams.
