SU Offers Virtual Interest Session on Nationally Recognized M.S.W. Program

SALISBURY, MD---For students who are committed to going into the important social work profession, Salisbury University’s nationally recognized Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) Program will help set them on the path to success.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about earning an M.S.W. is invited to attend a virtual interest session hosted by SU’s School of Social Work at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 16, via Zoom. Attendance is free and registration is required.

“As someone who spent 15 years in the helping professions before coming to SU, I have a lot to say about the value of earning an M.S.W.,” said Stephen Oby, program director. “Our department is exceptional in its flexibility as well as its student centeredness. If you choose to pursue this degree, SU is a great place to do it.”

SU offers one of the most affordable and flexible M.S.W. options in Maryland. The program may be completed in-person at SU, fully online or at one of four satellite locations. It is designed with the working student in mind by offering evening and summer courses, so students can complete their degree on their own schedule and start making a difference in their communities where they are.

The M.S.W. Program at SU is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The program is looking forward to offering two new specializations: clinical social work and advocacy, and social change and leadership.

The information session is free and open to all interested individuals. For more information, email Stephen Oby at sjoby@salisbury.edu or msw@salisbury.edu
