Hoppenthaler Continues Writers on the Shore Series at SU

John HoppenthalerSALISBURY, MD---Poet John Hoppenthaler continues Salisbury University’s fall Writers on the Shore series with readings from his works 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.

Hoppenthaler has published three books of poetry with Carnegie Mellon Press: Lives of Water, Anticipate the Coming Reservoir and Domestic Garden. With Kazim Ali, he also co-edited This-World Company, a volume of essays and interviews on the poetry of Jean Valentine.

His poems have appeared in journals and anthologies including Ploughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review and Southern Review, among others. He is a professor of English at East Carolina University.
