Water Reads at Museum of Romanian Literature

SALISBURY, MD--Dr. Michael Waters, professor of English at Salisbury State University, read from his books of poetry in Romania this summer at the invitation of the Museum of Romanian Literature in Bucharest and The Writers Association in the northern city of Iasi. The readings took place in conjunction with the publication of several of Waters poems, translated by Mihai Ursachi, in Convorbiri Literare. An interview with Waters is forthcoming in Dacia Literara, and more poems in translation will appear in Poezia.

Previous to his trip to Romania, Waters taught at the Catskill Poetry Workshop at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, and read his poems at LaMama Galleria in New York City. Three new poems appear in the current issue of Chelsea.
