SALISBURY, MD--A comprehensive workshop for the new business or potential business owner, "How to Start and Manage Your Own Business," will be held at Queen Anne's County Free Library, Kent Island branch on Thursday, November 19, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Topics to be covered include writing a business plan, banking requirements, insurance needs, marketing, recordkeeping and legal aspects.
Sponsored by the Maryland Small Business Development Center-Eastern Region, Salisbury State University, Chesapeake College, SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives-Upper Shore chapter) and the Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce, the fee of $40 per person in advance, and $50 at the door, includes lunch and all course materials.
