Renewal requests should be made 5 days before the due date listed on the sticker on the cover of the Interlibrary Loan tem. The lending library determines whether or not to renew the item. Requests should be made by logging in to the patron’s Interlibrary Loan account and clicking on “request renewal,” or by contacting the Interlibrary Loan Office at email@example.com. Interlibrary Loan staff will communicate with the borrower once a reply is received from the owning library.
Borrowed materials may be recalled at any time by other patrons who wish to use them, which may shorten the current loan period. Borrowers will receive an email notice from the owning library providing the new due date and any recall fine policies.
Borrowers whose SU-owned material is recalled will have 14 days from the date of the recall notice to return the material. If materials are not returned by the new recall date, special recall fines will be charged in the amount of $1 per item per day up to a maximum of $30. After 30 days, the item will be presumed lost.
