HIST 343 HISTORY OF INDIA: 1857-PRES (Fall 2019)
Study of the political, social and cultural history of India from the mid-19th century to the present. Emphasis on the period of British rule, growth of Indian nationalism, and the emergence of independent India and Pakistan. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or permission of instructor. Three hours per week with enhancement. Meets General Education IIB.
