Salisbury University offers exclusive access to the Maggs Natatorium facility for SU faculty, staff, and students. Just bring your Gull Card and GullNet On-Campus Clearance status to use the pool during its posted hours!

The Facility

The Maggs Physical Activities Center Natatorium features a six-lane, 25-meter long pool, which is home to Salisbury University’s men’s and women’s varsity swimming teams. The natatorium also features an outdoor pool patio and stadium seating for spectators during events.

Pool Specs

  • 6 lane, 25-meter pool
  • One mile = 66 lengths of the pool
  • Depth – 3 ½ feet to 12 feet
  • Temperature = 78 to 82 degrees

Locker space

  • Guests using the Maggs Natatorium are asked to utilize the general locker room in the Maggs PAC entryway.
  • No overnight storage is permitted.

COVID Policies & Procedures (Fall 2021)

  • Open swim max capacity is limited to 24 patrons
  • Masks are required when entering/exiting the Maggs Natatorium facility and at all times when not actively using the pool
  • All guests must sign in for and present their GullNet On-campus Clearance Status to the aquatic staff from their phone (must be green)
  • Guests should be spaced accordingly and limit lane usage to 2-4 swimmers, alternating ends of the pool when possible; please limit extended periods of time within six feet of other guests

  • Pool deck locker rooms are closed and not accessible for recreational use or classes; guests should use the general locker room located in the Maggs PAC lobby

 

Memberships

At this time, the Maggs Natatorium is not offering any external memberships. The facility is open only to Salisbury University staff, students, and faculty.

Summer Programs

Due to the continued presence of COVID-19, summer programs (Sea Gull Swim School/Sea Gull Swim Club) are indefinitely suspended. We will continue to monitor and assess national and local guidance in conjunction with Salisbury University protocol to re-assess future offerings. Please continue to check back.
