Wor-Wic Community College Transfer Program

At Salisbury University, we make it easy for community college students to find the right fit to continue their studies. Wor-Wic Community College and SU recognize the importance of facilitating the transfer of students from community college to bachelor’s degree programs, and there are several transfer programs at Wor-Wic, so you can transition smoothly into the undergraduate programs at SU. However, rest assured that if you are not in one of the cooperating programs, SU will work with you to help you meet your goals.

SU will be available at least once a semester to meet with students on the Wor-Wic campus to provide information and assistance to students interested in transferring to SU.

Our Programs

SU offers several programs in cooperation with Wor-Wic.

Chemistry

Wor-Wic students can complete the Associate of Science in STEM Transfer - Chemistry Concentration to seek a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at SU. As long as you complete the courses that satisfy the requirements for SU’s chemistry degree with a C or better and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, your credits should transfer. Apply to SU and declare chemistry as your major prior to registering for coursework.

Students who complete the STEM Transfer - Chemistry Concentration program at Wor-Wic will be able to complete the B.S. degree at SU within two years (or four semesters). To ensure you stay on track to graduation, follow the sequence of courses presented in the articulation agreement outlined below. Representatives at Wor-Wic and SU will ensure that appropriate personnel are aware of this agreement, including the admissions and advising staff, transfer coordinators and faculty and deans.

Psychology

Wor-Wic students can complete the Associate of Applied Science in chemical dependency counseling to seek a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at SU. As long as you complete the courses that satisfy the requirements for SU’s psychology degree with a C or better and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, your credits should transfer. Apply to SU and declare psychology as your major prior to registering for coursework.

Students who complete the chemical dependency counseling program at Wor-Wic will be able to complete the B.A. degree at SU within two years (or four semesters). Wor-Wic students can complete the Associate of Applied Science in chemical dependency counseling to seek a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at SU. As long as you complete the courses that satisfy the requirements for SU’s social work degree with a C or better, complete 60 credits at Wor-Wic and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, your credits should transfer. Apply to SU and declare social work as your major prior to registering for coursework.

Students who complete the chemical dependency counseling program at Wor-Wic will be able to complete the B.A.S.W. at SU within two years (or four semesters).
