We are here to help you achieve program requirements and build the foundation for a rewarding career.
Requirements for SU’s Elementary Education Program at ESHEC
To help you set your success in motion at SU, we host an orientation for all education transfer students at the ESHEC in August. You will be contacted over the summer with the actual date and time by your faculty advisor, Dr. Elaine O’Neal.
The orientation will provide you with the opportunity to learn what is required for the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. You will receive information about clinical practice, meet your faculty and academic advisors, have your photo taken for your Gull Card student ID, and get to know other students new to the elementary education program. In addition, the orientation will provide you with pertinent information regarding clinical experience placements, the Writing Center, Library Literacy and the Canvas platform. Finally, there will be a question-and-answer session. We hope to answer all of your questions during this informative event to get your SU academic experience off to an excellent start!
Once you have your student ID number, you will need to apply to the Professional Teacher Education Program in SU’s Department of Early and Elementary Education. You will be contacted by Department Chair, Dr. Jeni Davis (jrdavis@salisbury.edu), regarding your application status.
