Celebrating Our Centennial

Salisbury University marks 100 years in 2025 — a milestone worthy of celebration!

Our history began on September 7, 1925, when the State Normal School at Salisbury opened its doors to students for the first time.  Since then, tens of thousands have matriculated through our programs.

As the 100th anniversary approaches in fall 2025, Salisbury University is planning a year-long Centennial Celebration. Anniversaries of this magnitude occur infrequently within institutions, and deserve our recognition.

For nearly a century, our graduates have gone on to make an incredible impact across the globe. This will be a celebration of not only their accomplishments, but those of the faculty and staff who have served our University with pride, of the current and future students who will continue to shape the world for decades to come, and of our community that has supported us along the way.
