How to Enroll

Salisbury University, in collaboration with The University System of Maryland (USM), Google, and The National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH), is working to expand access to flexible, career-aligned digital credentials. This initiative provides Google Career Certificates and AI Essentials courses, helping learners build high-demand skills in cybersecurity, AI, data analytics, and more.

Through this partnership, SU is advancing its mission to equip students, alumni, faculty, and staff with workforce-ready competencies that support economic growth, job mobility, and lifelong learning.

Step 1: Complete the Enrollment Form

To request access to a Google Career Certificate, fill out the enrollment form. Please indicate which certificate you want to complete first (you can only complete one at a time).

Step 2: Wait for Coursera Invitation

Provided a license is available, you will receive an email invitation from Coursera granting access to the program. Please check your SU email inbox (and spam folder, just in case).

If a license is not currently available, we will acknowledge your request and communicate with you when a license becomes available.

Step 3: Create a Coursera Account ( Do NOT Use Google Sign-In!)

When setting up your account, be sure to:

  • Use your SU campus email (e.g., username@gulls.salisbury.edu or username@salisbury.edu)
  • Click "Sign Up for an Account" if you don't already have a Coursera account.
  • DO NOT sign in with Google or other social login options - this will trigger your account to be removed from our programs.

Step 4: Accept Coursera Invitation and Start Learning

Once logged in:

  1. Accept the invitation in Coursera
  2. Select the certificate program you want to complete
  3. Start learning at your own pace!

Important: If your Coursera account shows prolonged inactivity, your license may be reassigned to allow another student to participate.
