Salisbury University Celebrates Spring 2021 Commencement
Salisbury University congratulates the Class of 2021! Graduates, you have completed your degrees under challenging conditions, and we applaud you. We are so proud of your ability to adapt to a rapidly changing world – and flourish.
Our SU community longs for a return to traditions. In the meantime, this combination of virtual and in-person Commencement events will provide opportunities to commemorate your achievements with your family and friends. Your SU community is thrilled to honor you with these activities. SU’s in-person “Grad Walk” at Sea Gull Stadium is Thursday-Sunday, May 13-16. The virtual ceremony for doctoral and master’s degree recipients launches here at 6 p.m. Friday, May 14. Virtual ceremonies for bachelor’s degree recipients launch here at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15. Plan a watch party!
After commencement, we wish you continued success and happiness in your personal and professional lives, and we look forward to hearing about the careers, and graduate and professional programs, you will pursue. SU Celebrates the Class of 2021
Congratulations to Salisbury University’s Class of 2021! Graduates completed their degrees under challenging conditions, but Spring Commencement provided the opportunity to have some fun celebrating achievements with family and friends. SU hosted a combination of in-person activities and six virtual ceremonies. A four-day “Grad Walk” allowed grads to cross the stage at Sea Gull Stadium, and enjoy celebration zones around campus for photos. #GoGulls!
In-Person Grad Walk and Celebration Zones
During the “Grad Walk” at Sea Gull Stadium, graduates’ names will be read as they cross the commencement stage. Professional photographers will take formal photographs, and graduates will receive Salisbury University diploma covers. Up to four guests may join to cheer each graduate, with a livestream provided for other friends and family. Afterward, graduates and guests are encouraged to take additional photos at celebration zones around campus. In-person events are designed to comply with COVID-19 public health protocols.

Graduate Commencement Ceremony
Master’s and doctoral degree recipients, families and friends are invited to view the ceremony, which include speaker remarks, the conferral of degrees by SU President Charles Wight and the announcement of names from personalized slides for graduates. Your customized slide also is available to download to share your special moment on social media.

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies
Bachelor’s degree recipients, families and friends are invited to view these ceremonies for each of SU’s five academic colleges and schools. The ceremonies feature speaker remarks, the conferral of degrees by SU President Charles Wight, and the announcement of names from personalized slides for graduates. Your customized slide also is available to download to share your special moment on social media.
