Student Advisory Board Application
Emily Alessandrini ealessandrini1@gulls.salisbury.edu
Hello! My name is Emily Alessandrini and I am a senior in the medical laboratory science (MLS) program with minors in Chemistry and Biology. I chose MLS as a major because I knew I would come out of undergrad with a great career! The MLS program is full of great, close-knit students who like to love medicinal sciences. I am also an ambassador for the Clarke Honors college. I work as a scribe in the Emergency Department and a neurosurgery outpatient office. I also work as a lab assistant for the MLS program. When not in the classroom, I act as the secretary for Salisbury’s A Capella group, Squawkappella. I would be happy to talk with you about the medical laboratory science program!
Zoey Diskin zdiskin1@gulls.salisbury.edu
Hi everyone! My name is Zoey Diskin, and I am currently a junior in the social work program. I just recently transferred to Salisbury University after receiving my associate degree in addiction counseling. I hope to further my education by obtaining my master's degree in social work. I chose the social work profession because it is a career path that has many opportunities for specializations and the possibility of making a positive impact within our local community. I love volunteering at local drug awareness and prevention events throughout Salisbury, and I am a member of the mindfulness club.Let me know if you would like to know more about the social work program!
Stephen Ewing sewing1@gulls.salisbury.edu
Hi, I am Stephen Ewing, a senior in the nursing program. As a student advisory board member, I am pleased to have the opportunity to represent CHHS at college, university and community events. I enjoy meeting with prospective students and community leaders to share my experience in the nursing program. I graduate this spring and look forward to beginning my nursing career working in an intensive care unit (ICU) in a local area hospital. After gaining several years of experience, I hope to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). I’m here to answer any questions you may have about the nursing program!
Hannah Jones hjones12@gulls.salisbury.edu
Hello! My name is Hannah Jones, and I am currently a Senior in the Medical Laboratory Science Program at Salisbury University. In addition to being a member of the CHHS advisory board, I am a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and an active member in the MLS program. I chose to pursue a career in Medical Laboratory Science because I have always had a desire to enter into the medical field and was fascinated with the microscopic side of science and how it correlates with the clinical picture. Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports and traveling! Feel free to reach out with any questions or just to talk!
Jamie Kost jkost1@gulls.salisbury.edu
Hi, I am Jamie Kost, a junior in the public health program with minors in Psychology and Disability Studies. Public Health works at the community level to prevent the spread of disease and promote healthy behaviors. I chose Public Health as my major because I enjoy the positive impact it has on the community. I also chose this as my major because I want to help people on a more personal level by pursuing a career in occupational therapy. I am in Eta Sigma Gamma (executive board), a Psi Chi, Clarke Honors College member, in the American Sign Language Club, play Club field hockey, and am a university host. I also volunteer in the Salisbury community with the honors college. Let me know if you any questions regarding the public health program!

Hi, I am Alex Slovikosky and I am a junior at Salisbury University. I currently am studying social work and hope to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. After graduation, I look forward to furthering my education in Salisbury University’s Master of Social Work program. I would love to work with individuals with special needs and become an advocate for disability rights. I chose this career path because I have a passion for people and simply hopes to aid individuals in their journey towards becoming their best selves. I am also involved with several clubs and organizations such as Young Life, Cru Club, Outdoor Club, and Best Buddies. Hi! My name is Megan Stukus, and I am a senior at Salisbury University. I am a Respiratory Therapist major with a minor in biology. My family currently lives in Annapolis, Maryland – but my father is active duty Coast Guard, so we are from all over! After I graduate, I hope to be working in a shock trauma hospital. My time here at Salisbury University has given me opportunities to be involved in organizations such as the Medical Careers Society, and the Women’s Club Lacrosse Team. By being a part of this board, I hope to bring together all healthcare majors alike to gain a better understanding of why we are all so necessary to hospitals all over the country. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the respiratory therapy program!
