What is an Elevator Pitch?
An elevator pitch is a brief introduction of yourself to a potential employer/decision maker usually lasting between 30-90 seconds, or about the time it would take for an average elevator ride.
For the purpose of this competition, yours will be limited to 60 seconds and you will pitch on “Why am I the right person for the job?” or “Tell me about yourselves.”
U-Pitch Competition
The U-Pitch Competition consists of two rounds:
Round 1: Students are randomly assigned to 3 stations. Companies will be assigned to those stations and will be set up for a job fair. Students will individually present their elevator pitch to their assigned stations and will be scored accordingly. Ten students will advance.
Round 2: The ten finalists will pitch in the auditorium in front of all of the judges and competitors.
Put your best food forward and make a lasting impression on the judges!
