Breathe Easy at SU Kick Off Event

On Wednesday, September 1, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. SU kicked off its “Breathe Easy” campaign in The Square. The event provided more information about the new Smoke-Free Campus policy and alternatives to smoking.

Several organizations were in attendance to answer questions about becoming a smoke-free individual and to provide information about local cessation programs. These groups included the Wicomico County Health Department, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society and Peninsula Regional Medical Center, among others. Information regarding University-sponsored cessation programs was provided by Student Health Services and the Counseling Center.
