Warner "Joe" Waters Applinted Counselor With SBDC

SALISBURY, MD--Warner "Joe" Waters has recently joined the Eastern Shore Office of the Maryland Small Business Development Center as a counselor.

Waters, a resident of Oxford, brings over 20 years of banking experience to the counselor's position. After earning his undergraduate degree in economics from Western Maryland College Waters spent two years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army. Following the service, he completed his M.B.A. in finance at the University of Baltimore.

During his career in banking, Waters was a branch manager, commercial lender and senior credit officer. Waters capped off his banking years as the chairman, CEO and president of Mellon Bank (DE) NA. For the past four seasons, Waters has owned and operated Oxford Sailing Charters, a captained sailing charter business operating out of Oxford.
