Virtual Job Fair October 30-November 10

SALISBURY, MD---The Selective Liberal Arts Colleges of Maryland and Northern Virginia, of which Salisbury State University is a member, are sponsoring the first annual Virtual Job/Internship Fair. It runs online from October 30-November 10.

The Virtual Fair offers employers that do not always recruit on SSU’s campus, such as the National Security Agency, Microsoft and Habitat for Community. It offers employers access to students from nine institutions (Goucher College, Hood College, Mary Washington College, Mount St. Mary’s College, St. John’s College, St. Mary’s College, Washington College and Western Maryland College).

Currently there are 60 widely diverse employers signed up--T. Rowe Price, Living Classrooms Foundation, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Maxim Healthcare Services, Arena Stage, Trace America, Montgomery County Public Schools, Teach for America, Net 2000 Communications, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, NISGUA, Choice Programs, Peace Corps, Legg Mason, Onsite, International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans, U.S. Investigation Services, MBNA, TRAK Staffing and Fort Worth Independent School District.

Students will have the ability to search current job and internship opportunities as well as explore various company profiles. They will upload and submit their resumes. Employers can post company information and job opportunities, and receive and search resumes.
