Social Work Class Participates in 'Best of the Fest' Run

SALISBURY, MD---Clare Weaver, professor of social work in the Samuel W. and Marilyn C. Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies at Salisbury University, and her senior social work practice III class are organizing and initiating the second annual Best of the Fest 10K Run and 5K Run and Wellness Walk in support of The Wellness Community-Delmarva (TWC), held Saturday, May 1, at the Salisbury City Park. Class members will be there to cheer on all runners and walkers who come out to support TWC, a non-profit organization that provides support groups, educational seminars, and stress management classes free to cancer patients and their families. Registration is 7-8 a.m. at the north park pavilion. The 10K run and 5K walk/run begin at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $20 and may be raised through pledges. Finish line dedications for those lost or living with cancer are $10. To register, call The Wellness Community-Delmarva at 410-546-1200.
