SU World Drum Experience Performs Apr. 14

Treble ClefSALISBURY, MD---The 2018 Salisbury Percussion Festival at Salisbury University concludes with a concert by the SU World Drum Experience 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.

Directed by Ted Nichols, the performance features the “A Master’s Peace” African dancers and guest steel drummer Diego Guzman. He joins the ensemble for the song “Besamé Mama” by Mongo Santamaria.

International selections include the “Mozambique” from Cuba and an African song by Famoudou Konaté. The ensemble also performs songs made popular by Bob Marley; Average White Band; Chicago; and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
