SU Presents Spring Musical Dinner Theatre May 5-6, 8-9

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Department of Music presents the dinner theatre production Comedy and Controversy Wednesday-Thursday, May 5-6, and Saturday-Sunday, May 8-9, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center. Directed by Dr. William Folger, SU director of choral activities, students perform pieces from such Broadway hits as Grease, The Full Monty, Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, Phantom of the Opera and Jekyll and Hyde. The production receives its title from the ideas brought about in the opening number, Comedy Tonight, from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Folger was recently musical director for SU Theatre’s spring production of Sweeney Todd. Those attending dinner performances Saturday-Sunday, May 8-9, have a choice of entrĂ©e: roast tenderloin, chicken Chesapeake or vegetarian lasagna. New York cheesecake with strawberry sauce is served for dessert. Admission to dinner shows is $25. Dinner is served 6:30 p.m. May 8 with an 8 p.m. curtain. Dinner is served 1:30 p.m. May 9 with a 3 p.m. curtain. Non-dinner shows are scheduled 8 p.m. May 5-6 and 2 p.m. May 8. Tickets are $5 each. SU ID holders are admitted free with reservations.
