Next CELL 'Discover SU' Tour Is October 19

CELL logoSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning (CELL) invites community members to get to know the campus better through “Discover SU,” a series of tours highlighting the University’s offerings and services.

This fall’s next tour is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 19, as guests learn about SU’s sustainability initiatives from Wayne Shelton, campus sustainability and environmental safety director.

Highlights include SU’s new solar parking canopy, providing enough electricity to power three campus residence halls annually, and the “green roof” rain water filtration system atop the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Upcoming topics in the “Discover SU” series include:

•    Thursday, November 16 – Nabb Center with Dr. Creston Long, director

•    Thursday, December 14 – History of Holloway Hall with Ian Post, University archivist
