Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Wicomico County, Surrounding Areas Apr. 7

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) hazardous weather outlook for Wicomico County and surrounding areas continues for Saturday, April 7.

Rain early Saturday morning is expected to gradually turn to sleet and/or snow, with a wintry mix forecasted between in the morning and early afternoon before turning to snow. The Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services has forecasted a potential of 1-3 inches of snow from 6 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday, April 8.

Roads may be slick throughout the day and evening. Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wicomico County and surrounding areas for Saturday, April 7.

Rain early Saturday morning is expected to gradually turn to sleet and/or snow, with a wintry mix forecasted between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Snow is likely from 2-8 p.m., the NWS said.

Less than an inch of accumulation is expected on grassy areas. Due to recent high temperatures in the area and the majority of precipitation occurring during daytime hours, little to no accumulation is expected on paved surfaces; however, roads may still be slick. Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution.
