Guitar in the Gallery Series Continues with Danielle Cumming Tuesday, November 19

Danielle CummingSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Guitar in the Gallery series continues 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall with Dr. Danielle Cumming of the Department of Music.

The head of guitar studies at SU, Cumming has performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in the United States, Canada and Europe. She holds a Doctorate of Music in guitar performance from McGill University, where her research on cross-culturalism in classical guitar composition and rock music culminated in her doctoral paper “Led Zeppelin and Carlo Domeniconi: Truth Without Authenticity?”

As a performer, Cumming focuses on 20th and 21st century repertoire and has premiered and recorded many new works, both as soloist and with the toneART ensemble. In Canada she has performed on the nationally broadcast television morning show Canada A.M. and on national CBC radio.
