Goldhagen Exhibit Featured at Atrium Gallery April 27-May 25

SALISBURY, MD---Artist Carl Goldhagen’s recent drawings, the continuing Attempt series, explore the process of drawing through the progressive copying of a single line.

His latest pieces are on display at the Atrium Gallery of the Guerrieri University Center at Salisbury University, April 27-May 25 during the exhibit “Carl Goldhagen: New Work.” An opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 27.

Goldhagen, a painter and photographer, is an SU lecturer at Salisbury University who also maintains a New York City studio. His most recent works include ink drawings created in a process of progressively copying an initial line with gradually magnified variations resulting in webs of lines that give the illusion of undulating sculptural fields. Included in the show is a small group of new abstract paintings also with linear themes.

Gallery hours are Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sponsored by University Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call the Atrium Gallery at 410-548-3972 or visit the SU web site at www.salisbury.edu.
