'Fugitive Slaves' Talk Inaugurates 2007 Brown Bag Lunch Series February 13

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts celebrates African-American History Month with its first Brown Bag Lunch Discussion of 2007 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall.

Dr. Clara Small, professor of history at SU, speaks on “Fugitive Slaves on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.” Discussion topics include the rationale for escaping, who slave owners were, where they were located and where fugitive slaves went upon obtaining freedom.

Her talk is free and the public is invited. Soft drinks and light refreshments will be served.
