Farm Tour Saturday, June 30" 

SALISBURY, MD -- The Wicomico County Extension Office co-hosts a daylong farm tour on Saturday, June 30, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. to highlight successful production and marketing practices of Maryland and Delaware farms. Departing from the Wicomico County Extension Office, stops include The Greens, a hydroponic tomato operation in Princess Anne; How Sweet It Is, a farm market in Eden; Salisbury Shore Fresh Farmers Market at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury; Lower Shore Research & Education Center vegetable farm in Salisbury; and T.S. Smith, Inc., an apple orchard and year-round farm market in Bridgeville, DE.

A follow up to Ag101: Delmarva Small Farm Short Course, the fee is $30 and includes bus transportation, lunch and refreshments. Checks, made payable to Wicomico County EAC, should be mailed to the Wicomico County Extension Office, P.O. Box 1836, Salisbury, MD 21801. The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 20.

The program is co-organized by the Maryland Cooperative Extension, the Maryland Small Business Development Center Eastern Region and the Small Farm Programs at Delaware State University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
